About the facility 

The Barwon Health Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed unit, providing tertiary critical care services to the Barwon South Western region. The Intensive Care Unit cares for medical, surgical, and cardiothoracic adults, as well as collaborative programs to care for adult ECMO and critically ill children. The unit also supplies a central vascular access and critical care echocardiography service to Barwon Health. The Intensive Care Unit is actively involved in clinical research, critical care education for Deakin School of Medicine, and education and training of junior doctors and nurses.

About the role 

We are a seeking dynamic, motivated and high skilled nurse to cover a 12 month ICU Liaison Nurse Maternity Leave position. The role includes being part of the hospital emergency response team and ongoing support to patients transitioning from intensive care to the ward. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, well developed communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a variety of environments.
