About the Role
This role would ideally suit a trainee looking for a career in O&G and planning to apply for the integrated training program, SIMGs looking for supervised training to achieve the required skill levels, as per RANZCOG, or DRANZCOG or Advanced DRANZCOG doctors with an interest in regional GP led obstetrics and gynaecology would also be considered
The position comprises of a combination of roles with the aim of providing ample exposure for training opportunities within the O & G unit. It includes:
• Elective caesarean lists
• Training Opportunities for minor gynaecological surgical procedures.
• Birth suite and Acute Gynaecological Role: First on call for acute services allowing for developing skills in operative vaginal deliveries, emergency obstetrics and gynaecology services.
• Opportunities to participate in research, audits and teaching for junior medical /allied health staff.
The unit is committed to provide support towards securing an accredited position which includes CV focused tasks, opportunities for audits/research and interview grooming sessions.
