About the Facility

Barwon Public Health Unit is part of the Victoria's Local Public Health Units working with the Department of Health to keep their local communities healthy, safe and well.

They use local knowledge, community-based relationships and direct engagement to effectively tailor and deliver public health initiatives and respond to incidents and issues within their local area.

Barwon Public Health Unit was established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to manage local cases and outbreaks of COVID-19. From July 2022, the unit has begun undertaking additional public health responsibilities for various other notifiable conditions.

About the role

The Public Health Administration Assistant role is responsible to provide outstanding effective & efficient customer focused administration/secretarial duties within the Public Health Unit at Barwon Health. This role will support the daily functions of customer services, data management and secretarial support to achieve the desired outcome of the Unit.

Essential: Experience in Reception / Customer Service / Clerical / Administrative / Data entry or Internal customer service environments

Essential: Experience working in Hospital/Medical or Health Industry
