About the role

The senior clinician role at Barwon Health's Drugs and Alcohol Service (DAS) provides leadership to our highly skilled AOD clinicians in collaboration with the Manager and DAS psychiatrist. This role seeks to foster strong working relationships with our consortium partners and internal and external services. Further, this position facilitates a culture of professional growth and service improvement with the team. 

About the facility 

Barwon Health Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS) provides treatment and harm reduction services to people wanting to access services regarding their substance use. We provide comprehensive assessment, counselling, non-residential withdrawal, brief intervention and bridging support for those seeking treatment for their substance use. DAS has a range of harm reduction services including providing the needle and syringe program, naloxone training and provision, opioid replacement assessments and linkages to prescribers, Hep C screening and treatment, overdose support and education. 

DAS is located in central Geelong in newly refurbished offices and is in close proximity to University Hospital Geelong. The location provides great access to the Geelong shopping and arts precinct, the Geelong Waterfront and public transport.
