About Barwon Health
With over 8,000 staff and more than 1,200 volunteers, we provide services to our local community the G21 region which comprises the residents of the City of Greater Geelong, Colac Otway Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Borough of Queenscliff and Surf Coast Shire. Barwon Health has 1,016 beds across our sites, including 363 residential aged care beds.

About the Role
The Cardiology Research Unit has been involved in the conduct of clinical trials since June 2000 and is recognised both nationally and internationally for conducting high quality clinical research and exceeding expected recruitment goals. On an ongoing basis, the unit participates in global Phase II – IV clinical trials in cardiovascular disease, as well as trials/quality projects conducted at the local level. Therapeutic areas of interest include ischaemic heart disease, ACS, diabetes, dyslipidaemia, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, rhythm disturbances, peripheral vascular disease and heart failure.
