About the facility 

The Mental Health Therapy Services develops and provides specialist assessment, consultation and evidenced-based psychotherapies as part of consumer’s treatment within Barwon Health's Community Mental Health services. This includes dedicated allied health inputs, ASD services, comprehensive psychotherapy programs for personality disorders and/or a history of trauma, and a clinical psychology trainee program. The service contributes to increasing capacity across MHDAS to utilise and deliver specialist assessment and therapies.

About you

  • Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement to practice as a clinical psychologist
  • Registered to provide supervision to Grade 3 Psychologists, students and developing therapists
  • Significant professional experience as a Psychologist, including 5 years at a grade 3 level
  • Demonstrated skills in the psychological assessment, treatment and care of people with complex mental health issues

About the role

Senior role providing clinical leadership through specialist delivery of therapies, program development and clinical governance frameworks. You will work collaboratively with our continuing care teams to ensure integrated care for our most complex consumers.  As the psychology clinical specialist you work in partnership with the operational manager to develop the workforce and provide world leading care.
