Barwon Health's Radiology Department - Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine/PET. These are performed by a team of highly skilled radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and support staff who ensure that all patients have access to quality services.

Barwon Medical Imaging provides services at the following locations:

• The Geelong Hospital, Bellerine Street, Geelong
• Geelong Private Hospital, Corner of Bellerine & Ryrie Streets, Geelong
• The McKellar Centre, 45-95 Ballarat Road, North Geelong
• Torquay Community Health Centre, 100 Surfcoast Highway, Torquay
• Barwon Health North, 155 Princes Highway Norlane

As an imaging registrar - you will have opportunity throughout your 5 years of training to work within both acute public hospital and community based imaging facilities.

About the Role

With 22 radiology consultants and 14 registrars - you will be provided with direct supervision and support across all modalities as you work to meet the RANZCR training requirements.

With two Directors of Training and an in-house Diagnostic Imaging Physicist (DIMP) there is tutorial support to supplement the formalised training programs offered in Melbourne.

Part of your training currently includes rotational blocks to Royal Children’s, Mercy and St Vincent’s in Years 2/3 of training.
