About the facility

Barwon Health’s Geelong Cardiology Practice provides comprehensive cardiology services to patients from across the region. Our facilities include two new Cath labs, providing EP, Pacing and 24/7 STEMI services, a full cardiac diagnostics service is provided including seven Echo rooms.

Geelong Cardiology Practice is committed to delivering personalised, high quality health care to patients in the hospital setting as well as via their Private Consultation clinic, enabling a continuum of care for patients and their families.

About the role

Barwon Health has a current vacancy for a temporary maternity relief Grade 3 Cardiac Sonographer position. As the Cardiac Sonographer you will provide patient focused Cardiac Ultrasound service to inpatients, emergency patients and outpatients across all Barwon Health cardiology sites with 2 days based at Colac Area Health. Other duties may also involve conducting other cardiac tests depending on qualifications and experience, including cardiac cath lab, pacemaker checks, EPS, ECG's, Blood Pressure & Holter Monitor fittings, holter analysis and Exercise Stress tests. Applicants with Cardiac Ultrasound qualifications or experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Desirable: 7 years experience
Desirable: Posses specific knowledge in and works in an area of their profession as recognising high levels of specialist knowledge

Desirable: Demonstrated well developed communicational, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Essential: Admitted or eligible for admission to the Register of Accredited Medical Sonographers by the Medical Sonographer Accreditation Registry
