About the facility
Heath Wing 5 is a 28-bed unit with flex beds to 36. The unit is a fast-paced Surgical Ward with high patient turnover who specialises in ENT Vascular, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecological Surgery and General surgery.
About the role
An opportunity exists to join Heath Wing 5, a busy surgical ward of University Hospital Geelong with numerous specialties including Plastics and ENT. We have an Permanent Part-time ANUM Night duty position available on the Tuesday night of Weeks 1 and 3. Proficiency in tracheostomy care is vital to this role.
As the associate nurse unit manager (ANUM) you will provide leadership in the planning and delivery of a high quality service within Barwon Health’s Residential Surgical Ward Duties of your role include, but are not limited to:
- Effective daily allocation of staff resources to required area’s on ward to ensure skills mix
- Ensuring provision of a high quality service that meets the needs of the residents, and promotes staff satisfaction and retention
- Managing day to day functioning of the shift to ensure operational requirements of the ward are met
