About the facility
Barwon Health’s Maternity Service provides pregnancy care for both high and low risk pregnancies and birthing support to more than 2700 families each year. Antenatal care is provided in both the hospital setting and at community sites. We have a Maternity Assessment Unit, 8 birth rooms a 24-bed Maternity Ward, extended postnatal care and a lactation service.
About the role
In this casual role you will plan, implement, evaluate and maintain a high standard of Midwifery care for both high and low risk pregnancies. At the same time acknowledging the dignity, culture and values of all women and their families. You will empower all women and their families within the service and embrace both continuity of philosophy and consistency of advice and information. You will provide direct patient care through a consumer centred approach within your scope of practice.
