About the service
MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.
Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client centred, accessible and family inclusive. We are fortunate to enjoy terrific internal relationships and have developed excellent partnerships with the local community that provide for seamless integrated care for our clients.
About you
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Australian Occupational Therapist accredited course
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience in the delivery of functional assessment and empirically supported treatment approaches for people with complex mental health and psychosocial needs
- Well-developed knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 (Victoria)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, continual improvement, risk management and occupational health and safety
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About the roles
Multiple, discipline specific occupational therapist opportunities available across our Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services.
a) OT (Grade 3) – McKellar Mental Health and Wellbeing Unit – 48hrs pf, ongoing
b) OT (Grade 2) – McKellar Mental Health and Wellbeing Unit – 64hrs pf, ongoing
c) OT (Grade 2) – Mental Health Therapies Service - 64 hrs pf, ongoing
d) OT (Grade 2) – Community Rehabilitation Facility/Prevention and Recovery Care (CRF/PARC) – 64 hrs pf, contract
