About Barwon Health
With over 8,000 staff and more than 1,200 volunteers we provide services to our local community the G21 region which comprises the residents of the City of Greater Geelong, Colac Otway Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Borough of Queenscliff and Surf Coast Shire. Barwon Health has 1,016 beds across our sites, including 363 residential aged care beds.

About the Role
Applications are invited for Anaesthesia Trainees to join our friendly and supportive department.
We currently have positions available for the 2024 hospital year, both full year and second 6 months of the year. There is the possibility of a cardiac fellowship option or a regional fellowship for the appropriate person.
We may also have a part time position available.
Applicants must be ANZCA accredited or eligible.
About The Culture
The Department of Anaesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, currently employs approximately 21 full-time, 47 part-time Anaesthetic Consultants and 24 Anaesthetic Registrars.
The department supports a wide range of clinical anaesthetic services including regional anaesthesia and ultrasound, obstetric and paediatric services, cardiac anaesthesia (including transoesophageal echocardiography) and a benchmark perioperative service (including CPET). The department has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical, education and research activities and a strong focus on preparing senior trainees for consultant practice.
