- Permanent full time – 80 hours per fortnight (1 x ADO per month)
- Brand new position – open to experienced mental health professionals
- Provide additional support to the exciting program manager of CCS
About the service
The Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS), provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.
Barwon Health’s Continuing Care Services (CCS) provides community supports to people aged between 16 and 65 years, experiencing serious mental health needs.
About you
- Formal professionally recognized qualifications in relevant health field (i.e. Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology).
- Clinical mental health background meets classification definitions under appropriate Award / Agreement.
- Leadership and operation management skills working in a complex health environment
- Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
- Ability to analyse and interpret data
- Demonstrated robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective in decision making and evidence of this
- Conflict management skills
- Proven ability to deliver negotiated outcomes
About the role
As the successful applicant, you will support the CCS Program Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational accountability to Continuing Care Services. Duties include but are not limited to;
- Ensuring services are high quality, innovative, evidence based and uphold the Barwon Health MHDAS principles of recovery oriented practice
- Providing leadership and mentoring within the CCS Leadership Team
- Working in conjunction with the Deputy Program Medical Director
- Continuing to develop the role over the initial 12 months of its operation (as it is a brand new position)
