- Brand new senior leadership role open to RPN Grade 4 and Allied Health Grade 3
- Optimal work/life balance – Permanent Part Time, 40 hours per fortnight (no night shifts AM 0830-1700)
- Provide clinical leadership and education to the Aged Psychiatric Services staff
About the facility
Barwon Health's Aged Psychiatry Service provides integrated and recovery orientated mental health assessment and treatment to people 65 and above within the Barwon Region currently experiencing, or at risk of experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are consumer centred, accessible and family inclusive. About you
- Degree level qualification with a recognised educational institution in Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Clinical/Neuro/Forensic Psychology
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Thorough knowledge of the objectives and provisions of the Mental Health Act (2014) and its recent amendments
- High standards of ethical and professional conduct
- A capacity to predict, recognise and manage internal and external change
About the role
As the successful applicant, you will work within a multidisciplinary team that provides a range of psychiatric case management services to Aged Psychiatry consumers, their carers and families, within a community setting. This may include residential care, residential service, their own home and/or the carer’s home. As the senior clinician, you will also collaborate with the Consultant Psychiatrists to provide; clinical leadership, portfolio responsibilities, education to the Aged Psychiatric Services staff and operational support to the Clinical Coordinator of the Aged Psychiatric Services team.
