About the facility
Jigsaw provides specialist early intervention for young people with or at risk of developing a psychotic disorder and treatment and services for young people with drug and alcohol and/or high prevalence disorders. It also forms a central component of the Headspace Group and is actively involved in service development and innovation to assist in the national campaign to promote early and effective mental health and drug and alcohol interventions for young people.
About the role
To meet the current high demand for youth mental health services, Barwon Health in partnership with Headspace Geelong, have the exciting opportunity to employ a proactive mental health clinician who will be co-located at Headspace Geelong.
This innovative position aims to boost the capacity of Headspace to assess and treat more young people presenting with mental health concerns.
The role will provide mental health, drug and alcohol care and interventions to young people aged 16-25 years old in the Barwon region and be responsible for the delivery of best practice, evidence based treatment and support to young people with emerging or establishes mental health difficulties.
You will need to have a formal qualification and experience in either Psychiatric Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology to be considered for the position. We pride ourselves in teamwork and flexibility, and encourage all youth mental health clinicians to apply for this position.
