About the facility
Barwon Health Renal Services provides care & support for patients with kidney disease. The service comprises a large renal out-patient consulting & education facility attached to a home dialysis training unit. An acute 8-station haemodialysis (HD) unit is located at the University Hospital Geelong and closely supports five satellite haemodialysis units including a large 12-station satellite HD unit at Barwon Health North.
About the role
An exciting position awaits a suitably qualified Registered Nurse with recent acute nursing experience to take on a temporary part-time position working within the haemodialysis service at Barwon Health North. As the successful applicant you will be responsible for the provision of patient/client/resident focussed holistic nursing care to those assigned to you in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
This role involves shift rotation (mornings and afternoons), with the ability to work 3 Saturdays within a 6-week roster cycle. This permanent position is based on 40 hr/ftn (5x8hr shifts/ fortnight). Recent haemodialysis experience is desirable for this position. However, training will be provided for suitable applicants without dialysis experience.
