Barwon Health Maternity Services provides pregnancy, birth and post-natal care to the Geelong community and wider Barwon South West region. About the role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Midwife to join the Clinical Education and Training team in a Clinical Support Midwife role (temporary 17/04/2023 - 17/09/2023).

You will work as an active member of the Graduate Team directly supporting and guiding the practice of graduate midwives working within maternity services at Barwon Health. The Clinical Support Midwife will be required to work with graduates allocated to birth suite, maternity ward (ante and post natal), clinics and Maternity Assessment Unit. In addition, you will support the Graduate Team's function by assisting with study days and conducting competency assessments.

Essential: Are you a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia?
Essential: Current midwifery practice and advanced midwifery skills?

Desirable: Completed or currently undertaking a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
Desirable: Completed or undertaking post graduate studies in education?
Desirable: Previous experience in a Clinical Support Midwife or Clinical Facilitator role?
