About the facility
Formed in 1998, Barwon Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing care at all stages of life and circumstance. Health services available through Barwon Health cover the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care.
About the role
The Central Resource Unit (CRU) provide staffing resources twenty four hours a day seven days a week across the clinical units of Barwon Health by utilising nursing and support staff to cover planned and emergent shortfalls within the service.
- We are seeking Nurses with Acute Medical, Surgical, Specialty area, Mental Health, Aged care or Sub-acute experience. Applicants should have;
- Minimum 12 months of experience
- Value patient centred care.

The Casual Nursing Bank Nurses have the opportunity to work across a variety of different areas and specialties including;
Medical Specialties: General Medical, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Renal, Acute Neuroscience, Respiratory, RAPU Rapid Assessment Planning Unit, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, Paediatrics and Special Care Nursery, Intensive Care, Emergency Department
Surgical Specialties: General Surgery, Urology, Colorectal, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Oral/Maxillofacial, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Medical rehab, Ortho Rehab
Sub-Acute and Aged Care: Mckellar Centre, Alan David lodge, Percy Baxter Lodge, In-patient Rehab Centre, Dementia and Psychiatric Care
Mental Health: Acute Mental Health, Mckellar Mental health and Wellbeing unit
