Are you looking to join a Graduate Nurse Program in 2023?
Barwon Health are looking for graduate registered nurses to join a well-established and supportive graduate nurse program commencing in February and May of 2023. Barwon Health graduates can expect to join a program that offers clinical support and guidance whilst challenging you to be your best. Graduates will complete two clinical rotations in a variety of dynamic clinical environments at University Hospital Geelong, McKellar Centre, Community Nursing Centres and Mental Health.
The Barwon Health Graduate Nurse Program can offer you the following:
- 53 week program
- Work 64 hours/fortnight
- Dedicated graduate team to provide clinical support and guidance to graduates
- Orientation program and study days throughout the year
- Supernumerary time in each rotation
- Access to weekly graduate professional development sessions
- Access to further professional development and completion of competencies

Applications for the 2023 Barwon Health Graduate Nurse Program are to be made online. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please do not email applications.
- Ensure you are eligible and registered to participate in PMCV Allocations and Placement Service Match. We cannot consider your application if you are not registered for the match.

- Upload a concise CV (no more than three pages) listing all clinical placements including service name, clinical area, type of placement and dates of placement in table format.
- Name and direct contact details of two clinical referees.
- Name and direct contact details of one most recent employment referee.
- Upload your most recent official academic transcript including key to results.
In addition to your application online, please provide your clinical appraisals via post:
- 3 most recent clinical appraisal tools regardless of the clinical setting.
- Must be certified and/or the university stamp or watermark visible.

Please note: If at the time of application you do not have the required amount of clinical appraisals, please submit what you have with a short note to explain your circumstances. In addition, if your clinical appraisals are PebblePad documents, they do not need to be certified.
Applicants progressing to the next stage will be notified via email. Interviews will take place in August and September with the format to be confirmed due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
Successful applicants will be notified by the PMCV Allocation and Placement Service on Monday, 3rd October 2022.
