About the facility
Be a part of an exciting expansion in Operating Services at Barwon Health. Building B Theatres is a new service within the existing Operating Services Department at Barwon Health. It consists of 2 new theatres, stage 1 and 2 recovery and a dedicated admission and discharge environment.
Operating Services at Barwon Health consists of 14 Operating theatres and one endoscopy suite across three points of care; Main Theatre, Gretta Volum Centre & Building B. At Barwon Health we operate on an average of 22,000 procedures a year and across of vast array of surgical specialities; Cardiothoracic, Cardiology, ENT, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Vascular, Urology & Plastics.

About the role
As the successful candidate you will be an experienced scrub/scout or anaesthetics and recovery nurse looking to grow your career at this exciting time of expansion at Barwon Health. Key to your success will be your energy, enthusiasm and passion for perioperative nursing and your ability to integrate into a busy, dynamic theatre team. Additionally you will;
- Be a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
- Have post graduate qualifications in a relevant area (highly regarded, not essential)
- Have a significant level of nursing skill and proven commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
