About the facility 

MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.

About the role 

This is an exciting new role within MHDAS. The acute intervention services are embarking on a period of growth, building a new hospital in the home program and developing an older person’s mental health inpatient unit. With the support of a Project Implementation Manager, Lived Experience Consumer and Carer Project Managers will utilise their lived experience to:

  • Support changes, acting as a point of contact and facilitating relationships between consumer advisory groups and the project team
  • Ensure project planning is of the highest quality and that projects are generally delivered as planned
  • Manage inter-project dependences, resource demands and project priorities

We are looking for a passionate, organised person who has had direct lived experience of overcoming mental health distress and/or alcohol and other drugs difficulties. If successful for this position, you will be supported to develop or consolidate project management skills. Previous experience in engaging and facilitating groups, writing agendas and minutes, public speaking and computer skills in Microsoft office are desirable.
