About the facility

The McKellar Centre offers a range of professional aged care services and is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds. Residential aged care facilities at the McKellar Centre include:

• Blakiston Lodge - a 90 bed, mental health facility which consists of 45 secure aged mental health beds and 45 secure dementia specific beds.
• Wallace Lodge - a 108 bed, high level, aged care residential facility. 
• Percy Baxter Lodges - a 82 bed low level care facility offering a cosy, home-like environment in a beautiful garden setting that enhances emotional wellbeing.

Barwon Health also provides residential aged care facilities within Grovedale, Geelong:

• Alan David Lodge - a 108 bed home located just minutes away from the vibrant and picturesque surf coast region.

About the role

Do you have a passion for Nursing and are dedicated to resident focused care? Don’t miss this opportunity to join our talent pool of enrolled endorsed nurses who are interested in joining the Residential Aged Care team. This pool can lead to permanent hours as positions arise.

In this role you will be responsible under the direction of a Registered Nurse, for the provision of resident focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes. You will work as an active part of a health care team that shows leadership and embraces change in the coordination and delivery of care, ensuring appropriate referral to, and in consultation with, other relevant health professionals, and service providers, as appropriate.
