About the facility
The Barwon Health ICU is a 24-bed ICU, providing tertiary critical care services to the Barwon South Western region. The ICU cares for medical, surgical, and cardiothoracic adults, as well as collaborative programs to care for adult ECMO and critically ill children. The ICU runs the deteriorating patient program, and supplies a central vascular access and critical care echocardiography service to Barwon Health. The ICU is actively involved in clinical research, critical care education for Deakin School of Medicine, and education and training of junior doctors.
About the role
Enjoy a permanent part time position with 40 hours one fortnight and 116 hours the second fortnight.
The ICU Technician will be an effective overall team member responsible for helping to maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients, visitors and staff within ICU. ICU Technicians are required to be multi-skilled in that they perform a number of different tasks associated with the general servicing of the unit. The ICU Technicians are effective overall team member in the provision of patient care, assisting nursing staff in the areas of patient welfare, comfort, hygiene and transport.
