About the facility

The Psychology Team Leader provides professional leadership and clinical supervision of psychology staff across the Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre (IRC), Community Rehabilitation Centres and University Hospital Geelong.  

About the role

In this senior clinical role, you will be responsible for coordinating professional supervision, leading professional development for psychology disciplines and providing professional expertise and advice on key issues of a psychological nature (including service development).  As the Psychology Team Leader, you are responsible for staff recruitment and performance development and will also drive quality improvement projects (including research) within the psychology department ensuring that these align with service objectives and relevant business plans.

Essential: Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Essential: Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (with endorsement).
Essential: Eligibility for membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
Essential: Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Essential: Experience working in sub-acute rehabilitation.
Essential: Proven ability to conduct assessments and the capacity to effectively communicate these findings.
Essential: Skill in the implementation and evaluation of evidence based practice and modification of service delivery models.
Essential: Experience in providing clinical supervision to psychology staff and students.
Essential: Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills and the expertise to resolve complex problems.
Essential: Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including a diverse client base, professional colleagues and community service agencies.
Desirable: Experience in a leadership role
