About the role

As the SPP/Intern Radiation Therapist you will be required to successfully complete a professional development year under the AHPRA SPP program to obtain the status of an accredited radiation practitioner.   

Duties of your role include, but not limited to:

  • Participate in rotations between simulation, planning and treatment. 
  • Explain procedures to patients attending simulation, planning, mould room and treatment as directed. Be sensitive to patient’s physical and psychological needs, attempting to meet them where appropriate or refer to appropriate person. 
  • Have an understanding in the use of all relevant equipment in the radiation therapy department.
