About the facility 

Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) provides mental health treatment and care to people of all ages in the Barwon region. The Swanston Centre Acute Unit is a 32 bed adult inpatient unit. The Lived Experience Program at MHDAS is undergoing expansion with many exciting new peer programs on the horizon.

About the role 

Join the dedicated Lived Experience team at the Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Service (MHDAS) at Barwon Health, Geelong. We have 2 positions available to facilitate PeerZone workshops (0.2 EFT each).

Utilising your lived experience of mental distress, you will be responsible for planning, managing and facilitating PeerZone workshops in the community, in collaboration with the other PeerZone peer worker. You will also be responsible for liaising and promoting PeerZone workshops with clinical and lived experience teams, and recruiting and supporting interested consumers to attend the workshops.
