About the facility

The Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Department at The University Hospital Geelong undertakes a diverse range of procedures and studies within a public and private health setting. The PET/CT facility is a custom built department that is serviced by a Siemens mCT system. Our Nuclear Medicine facility comprises of a Ge 670 Discovery (SPECT/CT) and a GE 870 DR (SPECT/CT). Both areas undertake diagnostic CT.

The Department has a fully equipped radio pharmacy laboratory which undertakes reconstitution of radiopharmaceuticals, dispensing of patient doses and all relevant quality control mechanisms. Further studies such as blood labels and other cold laboratory duties are also undertaken.

Our laboratory in PET/CT undertakes Gallium PSMA and DOTA manufacture within a Hot Cell.

About the role

Barwon Medical Imaging are seeking a professional and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist who has recent clinical experience in both Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. The role would encompass rostering across both Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services and it is essential that excellent communication skills exist to deliver the desired service delivery in both a patient setting and a laboratory setting.

Consideration will be extended to applicants who may not have PET/CT experience or diagnostic CT qualifications.

This is a Grade 1 or Grade 2 position depending on qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
