About the facility 

MHDAS provides integrated and recovery orientated mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region. We support people who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues, and their families.

Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are consumer-centred, accessible and family-inclusive. We are fortunate to enjoy excellent internal relationships and have developed excellent partnerships with the local community that provide for seamless integrated care for our consumers and their families.

About the role

As a Senior Clinician in the MHDAS Therapy Program, you will:

  • Provide specialist assessment and therapy to MHDAS consumers in line with consumers’ individual care and treatment plans
  • Provide clinical leadership and service quality improvement 
  • Work with an interprofessional team to increase therapies for Mental Health consumers with complex needs
  • Provide discipline specific professional supervision for clinicans and students

Essential: Formal professionally recognised qualifications in Psychology (including endorsement to practice as a clinical or forensic psychologist), Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychiatric Nursing
Essential: At least 5 - 7 years' discipline specific professional experience (as per relevant EBA classification)
Essential: Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of empirically supported assessment and treatment approaches for people with complex mental health issues and psycho-social needs
Essential: Advanced skills in effective participation in a multi-disciplinary team
Essential: Comprehensive knowledge and experience sufficient to lead the professional development of others
Desirable: Clinical supervision training
