About the facility 

This role will be part of the North area Health team and be located within the child and family health services area at Barwon Health North.

Barwon Health North is a brand new $30 million two storey facility located in the Northern Suburbs of Geelong to provide a state of the art flexible health facility to meet the growing needs of the community.

Barwon Health North provides accessible healthcare close to home and to public transport bridging the gap between the acute settings at the University Hospital Geelong by providing the following services

  • Urgent Care Services
  • Medical Imaging
  • Child and Family Services
  • Healthy at Home (Chronic and Complex Care)
  • Dialysis
  • Specialist Clinics

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinician with a strong Paediatric background to apply for this new role.

This has been established to implement and lead a new child and family health program; which will be based in the Northern Suburbs of Geelong. This role will form part of the broader North Area Health Team, focusing on delivering high quality care, linking into a range of services delivered both from Bar won Health North and locally in our community.

This role will coordinate daily operations of the child and family health team and assist in planning, implementation and organisation of care aligned with the model. It will ensure that the team strives to achieve excellent health outcomes for the children and their families, by providing a child and family centred and integrated service that enables efficient and effective care delivery.

Working in partnership, will see the coordinator be proactive in identifying opportunities, which support partnership approaches to health delivery.
