About the role 

Three temporary positions have now become available for dedicated theatre scrub scouts as long service leave relievers. This offers a full time (76hr) positions to operating staff with a scrub scout experience.

In this role you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes

If you have excellent communication skills are well organised and have good time management, this is the role for you.

Essential: Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with demonstrated ability to meet the ANMC competencies for the Registered Nurse/Midwife
Essential: Ability to work shifts to cover 24 hours / 7 days a week
Desirable: Peri-operative certificate in Scrub / Scout, Anaesthetic and Recovery
Desirable: Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a health care team in an Acute health setting
Desirable: Motivated, enthusiastic, and have the ability to integrate into a busy, dynamic theatre team
