About the facility 

Barwon Medical Imaging provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. These are performed by a team of highly skilled radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and support staff who ensure that all patients have access to quality services.

About the role 

Are you a Grade 2 Radiographer looking to pick to pick up extra hours? This could the opportunity you have been waiting for. In this role as the Grade 2 Radiographer /MIT you will support the Grade 3 Radiographer / MIT in the management of the X-Ray service 24/7.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • As required under the Radiation Act 2005 the Radiographer / MIT must hold current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of Australia (MRTBA) under the auspices of AHPRA
  • Have a Victorian Government, Department of Health, Radiation ‘Use Licence’.
  • Have a Tertiary qualification recognised by the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) – e.g. Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations (RMIT)
  • Have expert practitioner in the selected modality

Selection Criteria Essential: Bachelor Degree in Medical Radiation Science
Essential: Radiation 'Use Licence'
Essential: Expert practitioner in the selected modality
Desirable: Demonstrate a broad range of knowledge, experience and competency in all routine medical imaging examinations.
Desirable: Competency in the operation of a digital radiography (DR), 64 slice CT, and digital fluoroscopy systems
