About the facility
The Barwon Health Speech Pathology service provides Acute Care (University Hospital Geelong), Rehabilitation and Subacute Care (McKellar Centre) and Community and Mental Health services for the Barwon South West Region.
The Speech Pathology department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas to clients with swallowing and communication disorders. Staff are supported in their professional practice, by attendance at professional development opportunities, regular review of evidence based practice, professional supervision and access to training and competency packages.
About the role
The successful applicant for this role will provide high quality Speech Pathology services to clients of Barwon Health’s Community Health & Rehabilitation Program (Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre) based at the McKellar Centre.
As part of the supportive Speech Pathology team, this position provides an excellent opportunity to work in the McKellar Centre’s Community Rehabilitation facility. As the Grade 1 Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to further develop skills in neurology, dysphagia rehabilitation and participate in service improvement activities to support the goals of Barwon Health and the Speech Pathology Service.
