About Barwon Health
Barwon Health is the largest regional health service in Victoria, providing care for approximately 78,000 emergency presentations per year. Under Barwon Health’s new emergency model of care patients are streamed to dedicated assessment areas including fast track, adult, paediatric, resuscitation, trauma and mental health areas. Our mission is to improve access and patient flow to provide a sustainable service that ensures high quality, safe, people-focused care.
About the role
As the Patient Services Assistant (PSA) working within the Emergency Department you will ensure the effective provision of patient care in the assistance of nursing staff in the areas of patient welfare, comfort, hygiene and transport in order to achieve and maintain quality patient outcomes. You will have recent experience as a PSA or in related work areas, a willingness and ability to develop skills and adapt to changing needs and hold a recognised PSA certificate (or equivalent) from a TAFE college, or equivalent registered training organisation.
