About the facility
The Acute Neurosciences Unit (ANU) is a stand-alone Neurosciences unit with state of the art equipment to support best practice standards and smooth patient flow at University Hospital Geelong. ANU is a 18 bed unit, comprised of 16 general neurology beds, incorporating a stroke unit and 2 beds for extended Epilepsy monitoring. The department of Neurology offers a large team of Neurologists who are experienced within all areas of this speciality. The nursing team work closely within the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible health outcomes for patients in our region. The Acute Neurosciences Unit on Heath Wing 2 centrally located at University Hospital Geelong, only minutes from our CBD and vibrant waterfront.
About the role
The Acute Neurosciences Unit is looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the team. This is a permanent position, 56 hours a fortnight.
Your role will be within a dynamic and supportive unit where teamwork is paramount. You must have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both written and verbal. You will have a passion to provide high quality patient care, the ability to work a rotating roster and an interest in quality improvement. Clinical experience will focus on developing patient assessment skills and interventions aimed at providing optimal patient outcomes.
