About the facility
The Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) is a comprehensive cancer centre that has provided expert care to those affected by cancer in Geelong and southwest Victoria in a supportive and caring environment since 1992.
At the ALCC, we provide state-of-the-art radiotherapy treatment, chemotherapy, apheresis unit/stem cell collection, transplant clinic and haematology services, as well a dedicated cancer inpatient ward and a range of complimentary services such as clinical trials and pharmacy, allowing us to offer our patients the very best treatments available in a compassionate multidisciplinary environment.
About the role
As an Intern radiation therapist you will be supported through your Supervised Practice Program and your clinical experience will include rotations between the treatment and planning sections, including experience and exposure to an array of advanced equipment and techniques including:
- IMRT and VMAT planning & delivery
- 4DCT
- Varian Truebeam LINACs
- IGRT – kv OBI and CBCT
- SBRT
- Superficial Radiotherapy
- DIBH
The radiation therapy SPP or graduate practitioner is required to successfully complete a professional development year under the AHPRA SPP program to obtain the status of an accredited practitioner.
