About the facility 

The Nuclear Medicine and PET Department at University Hospital Geelong undertakes a diverse range of procedures and studies within a public and private setting.  The PET/CT facility is a state of the artcustombuilt department that is serviced by a Siemens MCT system. Our Nuclear Medicine facility comprises of a GE 670 Discovery (SPECT/CT) and a Philips Brightview (SPECT).Both area's undertake diagnostic CT.

The Department has a fully equipped radiopharmacy laboratory which undertakes reconstitution of radiopharmaceuticals, dispensing of patient doses and all relevant quality mechanisms. Further studies such as blood labels and other cold laboratory duties are also undertaken.

About the role 

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PET Supervisor Grade 3 role is to manage and co-ordinate the PET service across Barwon Health, in conjunction with the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Director of Nuclear Medicine and PET. It is also to manage and co-ordinate any specialist IT needs across PET, ensure that other staff are trained with suitable training schedules, keep abreast of billing requirements and maintain high quality patient services.

Essential: Tertiary qualification recognised by the ANZSNM e.g. Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations(RMIT)

Essential: Completion of an approved course in CT(Diagnostic CT), which is recognised on Victorian Radiation Use Licence
Desirable: Broad range of knowledge, experience and competency in all routine PET, Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy procedures
Desirable: Demonstrates experience in managing staff, interns and students with good communication skills and problem solving abilities
