About the role

University Hospital Geelong is a 400-bed University affiliated teaching hospital, set in a beautiful bay city with access to a renowned surf coast and excellent lifestyle and sporting facilities.  There are many local cultural activities and only 55 minutes away are the extensive facilities of Melbourne. The Department of Anaesthesia, Peri-operative & Pain Medicine supports a wide range of clinical anaesthetic services. The Department has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical, education, quality, and research activities, and has a significant interest in development of processes of care, including IT systems.

About the role

As an effective member in a busy team environment, as the Secretary you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that include rostering, liaising with theatre staff members, accurate secretarial duties for the Director, members and staff of the department.  Excellent computer skills, the ability to organise and adapt to changing demands, exceptional communication skills are essential requirements if you wish to excel in this role. Previous experience in a clinical setting is desirable.

This is a permanent part-time position within the Anaesthetic Department and you will be responsible for providing leave relief for the full time secretary for annual, sick leave and rostered days off.
