About the facility
Formed in 1998, Barwon Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing care at all stages of life and circumstance. Health services available through Barwon Health cover the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers.
The Surgical Ward is a 16-bed ward which specialises in caring for patients undergoing elective or emergency procedures by providing pre and post-operative care.
About the role
The Ward Clerk will be responsible for the delivery of consumer-focused administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the patient's journey on the ward and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient and effective clerical support so as to achieve desired outcomes.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing prompt, equitable and accurate customer services in a professional, courteous and helpful manner, ensuring consumer-focused standards are continuously maintained.
- Providing accurate data entry in compliance with reporting standards.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team.
