About the facility

Barwon Health's Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) provides integrated and recovery orientated mental health and drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment, harm reduction and community and family support to people of all ages within the Barwon Region currently experiencing, or at risk of experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are consumer centred, accessible and family inclusive. We are fortunate to enjoy excellent internal relationships and have developed excellent partnerships with the local community that provide for seamless integrated care for our clients.

About the role

The APS Manager’s primary objective is to effectively and safely lead the operations of the APS team.

Duties of the APS Manager include:

  • Providing expert leadership of APS and across MHDAS, fostering an engaged culture of continuous improvement and clinical best practice
  • Ensuring activity targets and all data reporting requirements are met
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources, including human resources and budget management
  • Leading organisational change management processes as required
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
