About BMI

Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) is the leading provider of imaging services in the Geelong region. BMI has a comprehensive fully integrated imaging service with all modalities.

We are seeking a motivated radiologist to be part of this exciting and progressive imaging service.

BMI employs 14 radiologists/nuclear medicine physicians and 10 RANZCR accredited registrars/fellows.  Geelong Hospital is the major clinical school for the Deakin University Medical School.

What we are looking for:

Part time sessional dual trained radiologist/nuclear medicine physician registered (or who is able to be registered and ability to commence by February 2017) in Victoria with FRANZCR and has JSAC recognition for PET/CT and nuclear medicine

A motivated radiologist who can provide high quality, efficient radiologist services and radiologist expertise in the setting of both public and private hospitals and who will participate in the on call roster, teaching, training, QA activities, research and clinical-radiological meetings.

As the successful applicant you will need to have unrestricted Medical Registration and eligible for Medicare specialist provider number.

Selection Criteria Essential: Australian recognized specialist medical qualifications in radiology (FRANZCR)
Essential: Australian recognized specialist qualification in nuclear medicine including PET/CT (JSAC – Joint Specialist Advisory Committee)
Essential: Appropriate experience in radiology and nuclear medicine and the ability to practice excellent quality radiology and nuclear medicine
Essential: Broad radiology abilities including x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and commonly performed radiological procedures and intervention
