About the facility 

South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) is a virtual organisation within the south west of Victoria, Australia covering 60,000 square kilometres from Melbourne to the South Australian border, from the coast to 150 kilometres inland. SWARH services all the ICT requirements of its 50 or more members and customers. SWARH members comprise of public hospitals with customers being non-government organisations, community health centres, bush nursing agencies, medical clinics, pharmacies and other government organisations. 

About the role 

The primary objective of the SWARH Strategic Asset Management is to establish an ICT asset data governance compliance activities by discovering, populating and assessing date quality of asset information. Establish and manage the ICT asset replacement planning process for SWARH and Alliance Members as well as collating current and further strategic policy challenges, opportunities and priorities. ICT Asset risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risk and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated appropriately. Develop reporting process to enable reporting of the key strategic initiatives, including the preparation for the necessary reports. Participate in the continuous improvement of ICT assets management activities and processes aligned to Victorian Government AMAF to ensure compliance and cost efficiency of ICT assets. To undertake other task as requested by SWARH Chief Technology Officer. Assist with the continuous improvement of the SWARH Program and Project Management Methodology.

Essential: A relevant University IT or Asset Management qualification
Essential: Current driver’s licence as some travel within Victoria will be required
Essential: Broad knowledge of trends, strategic directions, legislative and governance framework relating to ICT Asset management within the Victorian Government healthcare environment
Essential: Experience with the ServiceNow platform to conduct system analysis, discover, ICT design and provide realistic solutions within deadlines
Essential: High level knowledge and understanding of performance reporting and data analytics
Essential: Interpersonal, presentation and consulting skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with vendors and senior multi-disciplinary staff at the organisational and state levels
Essential: Sound commercial acumen
Essential: Proven ability to lead change and work autonomously
Desirable: IT, Health Sector and Business Management experience preferred
