About the facility

South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) is a government-established joint venture, supplying ICT shared services to acute public hospitals and associated health services within the Barwon and south west regions of Victoria, covering some 60,000 square kilometers.

About the role

The Services Officer fills a vital role in the within the Infrastructure Team, with responsibility for the effective delivery of a live service operation that meets the expectations and service levels agreed with members. This is a pivotal role in the maintenance & provisioning of ICT services to the region’s public hospitals Geelong or Warrnambool based with some regional travel required in south west Victoria

Reporting to the Storage & Compute Manager, and working directly with the project management team your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Virtual Machine Deployment
  • Application Installs
  • Administration tasks within Active Directory
  • Assist with SCCM Package deployments and enhancements
  • Creation of technical documents
  • Conduct workshops and handover documentation
  • Liaise with SWARH Support Services to ensure user needs are met to release control of go live systems

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • Experience in the use of Server Virtualization Software, via tertiary education or industry experience
  • Experience working with Citrix XEN App
  • Experience working with SANs and Blade Server Platforms
  • Experience maintaining Active Directory,
  • Experience with SCCM Application Deployment
  • Experience in supporting & maintaining a SOE

Healthcare and Infrastructure/operations experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Knowledge of supporting Imprivata would be highly regarded but is not essential
