About the facility
The Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) provides team rehabilitation on an outpatient basis to people living in the community, of all ages. Clients are provided with flexible, goal orientated, individually tailored programs, following team assessment.
About the role
We are seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified clinicians for the positions of Occupational Therapist Grade 2. The position is initially located at the North Geelong Community Rehabilitation Centre in the neurology team. You will be part of a large Occupational Therapy community of over 100 staff.
In this role your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing high quality care to patients, clients, residents and demonstrate developing professional leadership through proactive participation within the Occupational Therapy service and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Providing teaching, supervision, support and development of less experienced staff and undergraduate students.
- Manage designated portfolios and quality improvement projects within the expectations of the Barwon Health Strategic Plan and the Occupational Therapy Business Plan.
To be successful in this role you will possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal aptitudes. A high level of commitment to best practice in patient care is also must. This role requires an excellent understanding of the continuum of care and a broad range of clinical skills.
Participation in the general ward weekend/public holiday roster is also a requirement of the position.

They are participating in research related to assistive technology, often presenting their findings at conferences and have been successful for grants to purchase state of the art equipment
