About the facility

The Barwon Health Deakin Psychology Clinic provides evidence based interventions in a training clinic model to people with mental illness, including specialised programs for eating, hoarding and borderline personality disorders. Our model ensures clinical training in the real world setting is integrated with academic learning. We are located in Central Geelong in purpose built facilities, co-located with child and adolescent mental health services, with opportunities to participate in teaching at Deakin Burwood.

About the role

This position as a joint appointment between Deakin University School of Psychology and Barwon Health Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services. 

This position has two main objectives:

  • To provide clinical leadership to Psychologists in Barwon Health and students working within the Psychology Clinic including development, implementation and ongoing provision of clinical, training and supervision services within the Clinic. 
  • To contribute to MA Clinical Psychology teaching program and relevant research
