About the facility
Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria's largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages of life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute care, mental health, primary care, community services, aged care and sub acute rehabilitation.
The Clinical Education and Training unit leads an integrated approach to clinical education and training helping Barwon Health to achieve it's education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality education and training across health care roles in the Barwon South West region. We comprise of an interprofessional team of educators and support staff across Allied Health, Nursing and Midwifery and Medical disciplines working together to develop clinicians who model excellent practice, challenge poor practice and inspire others.
About the role
To support educational program design and learning for Barwon Health's Residential Aged Care services in a practical and applied way to ensure clinical care and clinical practice are maintained at the highest standard . The role is part of the Clinical Education and Training team and will anticipate and respond to the clinical practice needs of clinicians working within the Aged Care settings at Barwon Health.
