About the facility

Barwon Health Palliative Care located at the McKellar Centre in North Geelong, provides palliative care nursing, medical, allied health and volunteer services within a framework of integrated health service integrating community, inpatient as well as an acute consultative service. The model of palliative care is based on level of need and targets patients with complex care needs.

About the role

This role is based across the Palliative Care program including the Palliative Care Unit, Community Palliative Care team and Ambulatory clinic setting, offering diverse opportunities for experienced Psychologists with clinical experience in Palliative Care and/or Oncology. You will be an integral member of the Palliative Care Program working 4 days per week in Palliative Care and one day in Cancer Services.  You will provide psychological assessment, consultation and treatment services to Palliative Care and Cancer patients and their families, both directly and through liaison with the relevant clinical team members. This role also provides secondary consultation support to other teams in the sub-region.
