About the facility

The 6 North Medical Day Stay Unit MDSU provides a Monday-Friday service from 0800-1630 for patients to receive various infusions and various day procedures such as renal biopsies and ERCP.

About the role

The role is challenging and very rewarding with many opportunities. The unit predominately provides services to the renal, gastroenterology, general medical units and neurology patients though is not limited to theses specialities.  The successful candidate is required to be competent with intravenous cannulation and post procedure recovery and infusions.

Desirable: Currently Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (ANMC)
Desirable: Completed two NMBA approved units of study for medicine administration
Desirable: Able to undertake shift work as required
Desirable: Experience working within a day stay environment or similiar
Essential: Competent in intravenous cannulation
