About the facility 

Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) services are time limited and delivered according to a Rehabilitation plan that is based on goals negotiated with the client and their carers, within the Neurological, Orthopaedic and General Community Rehabilitation streams of care. Our state of the art facilities are located on site with Belmont Primary Care, Community Nursing, Dental, Mental Health and Immunisation services.

About the role 

An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist- Grade 2 to work within the dynamic interdisciplinary team at Belmont CRC.  

As the Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, you will be part of the community, interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support clients and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through:

  • Comprehensive, co-ordinated and integrated interdisciplinary rehab at Belmont Community rehabilitation centre, within the clients home or in the community,
  • Provision of client –centred care to community members within the Neurological, orthopaedic and general rehabilitation streams of care.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community rehabilitation services.
  • Contribute to meeting the program and rehabilitation team key performance indicators (KPI’s).

You will work closely with other Occupational Therapists and be supported with clinical supervision of a Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist on site. Manage designated portfolios and quality improvement projects within the expectations of the Barwon Health Strategic Plan and the Occupational Therapy and Ambulatory Rehabilitation Program Business Plans.

Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapist from an Australian Occupational Therapist Council accredited course.
Essential: Current national registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

Essential: Current Victorian Motor Vehicle Driver’s License
Desirable: Current membership with the OT Australian and other professional bodies within field of practice.
Desirable: Skills in conducting investigative literature searches.
Desirable: Ability to apply principles of evidence informed practice
Desirable: Working as a member of a team
Desirable: Experience supervising Allied Health Assistants
