About the facility
MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.
Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client centred, accessible and family inclusive. About the role
As the Director of Mental Health (Clinical Sub Lead) of Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) Directorate you will be accountable to the Clinical Director (MHDAS) for the provision of strategic clinical leadership and operational leadership to significantly contribute to the achievement of Barwon Health’s strategic objectives within the Directorate.
The Director of Mental Health (Clinical Sub Lead), MHDAS works in partnership with defined Operational Leadership (Co-Director, Program Managers and Director of Nursing, Mental Health) in contributing to the achievement of relevant key performance indicators and strategic and operational deliverables for the clinical directorate across Barwon Health sites. This includes operational service delivery, line management, budgetary responsibility, oversight of facilities and equipment/assets, risk management, Work Health Safety and quality and safety.
The Director of Mental Health (Clinical Sub Lead), Mental Health, MHDAS will also act as an Authorised Psychiatrist as defined by the Mental Health Act 2014
