For over 50 years, volunteers have supported the vital work of Barwon Health and have focused on enhancing the consumer experience across our health service. We are proud to recruit, train, engage and retain a dedicated team of more than 1000 volunteers who donate more than 70,000 hours of volunteer support each year.

About the role 

The Volunteer Services Manager is responsible for the delivery of the organisational wide, Barwon Health Volunteer Strategy and implementation of it associated service objectives. Accountable for the day to day management of the Volunteer Services Program, this role also has direct responsibility of the Volunteer Transport Office. The Volunteer Services Manager will provide leadership to the department in order to achieve departmental objectives and be responsible to manage and maintain the volunteer intake process including the interview, screening, training, documentation and placement of volunteers. A key priority for the Volunteer Services Manager is to drive growth within the Volunteer Program to achieve a minimum target of 1000 active volunteers, at all times.
